Crafts Council Gallery

A Grade II listed 19th century Methodist chapel in the heart of Angel, beautifully reimagined by AOC Architects into one of the most quietly striking creative event spaces in London. Outside, a white façade with ionic columns, arched windows and stone steps opens onto a gated, illuminated forecourt. Inside, restored parquet floors, clay-plastered walls and a calming central light box give the gallery a warmth that few blank-canvas venues manage.
It is a maker's building, and it shows — the library area is lined in chestnut and ash by furniture maker Sebastian Cox, the first-floor workshop is furnished with handcrafted oak tables built from recycled materials, and there are display cabinets of beautiful objects throughout. That craft sensibility makes it a natural home for hands-on entertaining: canapé making and cocktail workshops, chef-led supper clubs, and wellness days where the food, the setting and the making all pull in the same direction.
The gallery is a dry hire venue, available by the hour, day or week, and PenniBlack are delighted to bring the food, the drinks and the styling to it. It sits five minutes from Angel and fifteen from King's Cross St Pancras, with the forecourt available for deliveries and drop-offs.
Crafts Council is a registered charity, and every hire directly supports its work inspiring making and nurturing craft businesses.
