Glowing Glitter Jars
If you have a few spare jars of varying shapes and sizes, you are halfway to creating these inexpensive, super glitzy table decorations.
All you need is some old jam jars, PVA glue, tubes of glitter and some tea candles, or LED lights if not allowed by the venue.
If you want to create even more impact, placing them on top of a circular mirror, will help the light reflect out further.
Pine Cone Display
So much can be achieved with pine cones! They can give a lovely clean, classic, and natural look to your table and no they are not just for Christmas time!
There are lots of ways you can use them in a display: from something simple like filling a glass vase or bowl with them and perhaps even adding some led fairy lights; or if you are feeling extra creative, you can produce a masterpiece with the addition of a glue gun and some paint or glitter.
Submerged Floral Feature
You will be surprised how much impact the addition of water can make to a vase filled with flowers, twigs or petals – the point being they are completely submerged within the water achieving an eye-catching elegant look and feel.
The addition of floating candles can create even more warmth and style to this cost-effective centrepiece option.
Wine Glass Candle Holders
This one is superb – how simple yet effective is this to achieve?
Take some different size wine glasses, pop them on a mirrored or acrylic disc, scatter some flowers, petals or leaves and pop some candles on top the bases … et voilà!
Twinkling Branches
This reusable display is a great option as the only costs are the vases and the hanging tea lights. It creates an elegant focal point which is both rustic and chic. You can add extras like sand, stones or gems to the vase to create more colour and depth.
You can also substitute the candles and wrap led fairy lights around the branches for a more dramatic effect. This is easily scaled up to fit even the grandest of dining tables. The choice is yours!
Fruit and Foliage
Why not make an edible display using fruit? The best fruits to use would be hardy fruits that you would usually put in a fruit bowl and do not require refrigeration – apples, pears, oranges, limes, lemons, grapes, etc.
This display adds a certain grown up and perhaps slightly 16th century banquet feel to your dinner table. If this fits your theme, it will cost next to nothing to achieve.
This just shows you really don’t have to spend a small fortune to add a luxurious and classy feel to your dinner parties and events.
