PenniBlack were asked to provide the catering for Fairline at the annual London Boat Show at the Excel centre, London. We drafted in a top sushi chef to make the sushi on site displaying it on one of our ice bars. PenniBlack staff got with the Japanese theme by wearing Japanese jackets and served the sushi in true oriental style.
PenniBlack knew that Sushi was more then just food, it represents a whole culture and so to ensure the best experience we could deliver the team went on a Sushi course prior to the event to gain more skills to deliver the perfect Sushi taste.
On the day the professional Sushi chef worked on a beautifully lit Sushi bar cut from ice especially made for this occasion. The bar had indents cut to hold the dips and fresh crushed ice atop a Japanese plate or one of our individual Bamboo steamers to serve the raw fish on.
Emma Hamilton from Fairline said that the Sushi bar had “exceeded her expectations” with the whole event running a smooth as a Samurai blade.
