ECA International 40th Anniversary

ECA International invited a variety of colleagues and clients to their 40th Anniversary party on the 29th of September. Penni Black were given the task of not only providing the food but also full theming and event management. As the company have 4 main offices around the world it was decided that we would use these 4 areas to theme the different rooms in their office where the event was being held. We used a variety of props, lighting and audio to transform these everyday office rooms into worldly delights.  Signature drinks in each room and a selection of themed canapés served in black mirrored boxes instantly recognised by the associated countries flag were circulated.

Canapés, champagne, cocktails, cupcakes, photo booth, Buddha, orchids, Empire State, London busses, kangaroos, beach bar, Neon stick lights….this party had it all!

American Themed Canapés Menu

  • Mini Creole chicken burger in a focaccia bun with lemon mayonnaise and crispy lettuce
  • Cajun Snapper burger with cilantro mayonnaise served in a sesame bun
  • Mini black eyed bean burger served in a bagel with salsa and sour cream

Australian Themed Canapés Menu

  • Lemon Myrtle grilled chicken and cherry tomato skewer
  • Tiger prawn skewers marinated in garlic and lemon butter
  • Grilled halloumi and bell pepper skewers

Hong Kong Themed Canapés Menu

  • Oriental duck wraps
  • Teriyaki Gilled tiger prawn, topped with ginger, spring onion and cashew nut salad
  • Asian slaw and roasted peanut rice paper roll

British Themed Canapés Menu

  • Yorkshire puddings with rare roast beef and homemade horseradish cream (to pack a punch)
  • Salmon tartare with lemon and crème fraiche on crisp bread topped with dill
  • Savoury jammy dodgers; peppered cream cheese and red onion jam sandwiched between sage biscuits

Drinks Menu - Themed to suit each room

  • Cosmopolitans - A mix of Vodka, Cointreau topped with cranberry and a squeeze of fresh lime served in a martini glass decorated with an orange twist
  • Penni Black G&T's - Bombay Sapphire, tonic and bitters perked up with lemon
  • Green Tea Mojito - A refreshing blend of white rum and gomme, loads of lime and mint poured over ice and topped with green tea
  • Australian Beers – Tooheys New and Crown lager
  • Corney & Barrow Sparkling Blanc de Blancs NV Savoie, France
  • Corney & Barrow Blanc Producteurs Plaimont 2009 VdP du Gers, France
  • Corney & Barrow Rouge, Francois Lurton Languedoc-Roussillon, France
  • Soft Drinks – Elderflower cordial, Thyme Tonic, Ginger cordial

I just had to drop you a line to thank you for an amazing party. I've had so many compliments and thank yous, and everyone has commented on how slick all your team was – amazed at how quickly you put it all together, how discreetly you took it all apart and how flawless and pleasant the service was.

We all had a fabulous time – some of our longer standing clients have said it was the best party they'd ever been to at ECA, and a few said it was simply one of the best parties they’d been to in a long time. Everyone loved the food too – and the cakes have all gone!

I've really enjoyed working with you – its been an absolute pleasure. You took the brief and made it great, and executed everything perfectly – even the last minute stuff.
