The Black and White Ball was held on the 23rd November 2007, for 250 guests, in aid of Cancer Research.
The evening commenced with champagne and canapés, followed by a four course gourmet meal.
The whole event was a huge success raising a substantial amount for the charity, the guests had a fabulous time.
"Thank you so much for everything you did on Friday night. It was a real success and everyone had a great time and really enjoyed their food. The staff were fantastic too. Thank you for all your help."
The Menu
- A Selection of Breads (walnut pave, olive ciabatta, rosemary foccacia)
Starter
- Seared Tuna Wasabi, with a double dressing of sweet soy, and coriander sesame oil, served on a bed of frisee lettuce
- Sun blushed tomato, feta and basil filo tartlet with a basil pesto and a reduced balsamic dressing
Main Course
- Fillet of lamb with a herb crust, caramelised shallot and port jus, Potato and celeriac rosti, glazed baby carrots and green beans
- Potato and celeriac rosti cake, topped with a duxelle of wild mushrooms, crème fraiche and chives, served with a port reduction.
Dessert
- White and dark chocolate mousse, topped with a caramel hazelnut spier
(served in a martini glass)
